Bacar Restaurant in San Francisco has always been known for its extensive Wine list and Wine by the Glass pours. They also have an impressive spirits list. Last Friday, Bacar opened their downstairs bar for Live Jazz and some very impressive cocktails. Two acclaimed San Francisco bartenders, Dominic Venegas and Carlos Yuturria, head-up the bar with some brilliant and tasty cocktails on their list. One that stood out was a cocktail called Suavecita by Dominic. When you look at all the Italian spirits that are mixed with the Partida Reposado, you may scratch your head but it works wonderfully. This is a delicious aperitif cocktail and one you should try next time you are enjoying some Live Jazz at Bacar with Dominic and Carlos behind the stick!
Suavecita
1 1/2 oz Partida Reposado
1/2 oz Aperol
1/2 oz Sweet Vermouth
1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
Dash of Angostura Bitters
Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
