Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of the traditional Margarita, especially if it's made with premium Tequila, fresh lime juice and organic agave nectar (no artificial sweeteners allowed), but here in Miami, we like to spice things up. Here is my take on the Margarita, Miami-style. - Marita, Ortanique on the Mile
Marita's Margarita
1 1/2 oz Blanco Tequila
1/4 oz Canton Ginger liqueur (check out Alex's post about Canton)
1/2 oz Organic Agave Nectar
1 lime, quartered
3 - 4 basil leaves
2 inch piece of jalapeno
Muddle the lime, basil and jalapeno in cocktail shaker. Add ice, agave nectar, Tequila and Canton. Shake vigorously and strain over ice into a highball glass. Garnish with lime wheel and basil leaf.
great man :D
