Congratulations to Marcelo Nascimento from Austin, Texas, who was just crowned the Master of the Manhattan! In a recent competition at the Standard Hotel in New York, Marcelo was given the honor by Woodford Reserve Master Distiller Chris Morris, spirits authority Paul Pacult, Whiskycast creator Mark Gillespie, and Douglass Miller from the Culinary Institute of America. Marcelo competed against 10 other bartenders from across the country, and all of their recipes will be included in the February 2011 issue of Esquire Magazine.
